Javeline PlatForm Beta v0.98.2 released

June 15, 2008

The Javeline development team is proud to announce the availability of Javeline PlatForm Beta v0.98.2, which is available on the download page.

It comes with the following features/fixes:

  • Ability to load the separate files. Include both jpf.js and loader.js and you're all set. You might want to adjust loader.js to fit your needs.

  • Complete rewrite of splitter and alignment engine. Blog article is forthcoming.

  • Added window docking functionality on top of the new alignment engine, including loading/saving of alignment state, runtime alignment state switching and dynamically adding, removing windows. (N.B. this does not supersede the portal component, which has a right of it's own)

  • Improved back button support (now only 2kb and compatible with IE8 way of doing stuff).

Especially the alignment rewrite was a lot of work. For the next release expect a lot of smaller issues to be fixed. Furthermore Lukasz is working on a fully featured implementation of his flowcharting widget, we're calling it workflow. Stay tuned.
